PROVERBS LIFE MAGAZINE, LLC. REVIEWS seek to give options that entertain, encourage, inform and stretch. Books chosen for review either reflect Christian lifestyle or are generally inspirational without offending those who hold this viewpoint.

Attention authors/publishers: reviews are the property of Proverbs Life Magazine, LLC. Instead of reprinting a full review, consider using the nugget that best promotes your book. When you use a review or part thereof, please tag it with PROVERBS LIFE MAGAZINE, LLC. REVIEWS.

Each month books are selected for review. Not all books will make it each month onto this site. But, each book reviewed will be read and evaluated carefully. (We do not do reviews on partial manuscripts.)

This is not the site to find either long flowery reviews or reviews that tear apart not only a book, but also the author.

These reviews will strive to be fair, mostly positive, and honest.

Please browse through the reviews to get an idea of focus, slant and what types of books are reviewed.

This site seeks to give reading options that entertain, encourage, inform and stretch, while appealing to a Christian conservative audience.

We will accept email attachment to some degree, also printed Advance Review Copies–only after the author contacts us and we agree. We prefer the actual book that will be on shelves. (Review books will not be returned whether or not a book is reviewed.)

Format: E-books. Prefer print books!

Presentation IS important. If you are not sending the final work, let us know. Reviews are based on what we’re given.

Guidelines: Audience: Christian and Family(all age groups).

Fiction or non-fiction, any age group

Clean books that you would give to your mother, pastor/priest, daughter, son and have a take away value: message, entertainment, etc.

Prefer a Christian perspective, or from a professional standpoint.

No profanity or obscenity, not using any form of God’s name as an expletive

No new age or the condoning of occult practices (even in fun) or equating other religions with Christianity

NO premarital sex scenes.

NO graphic sex/intimacy scenes

NO erotica or porn

All print submissions must follow these guidelines:

  1. Submit articles to submissions@proverbslifemagazine.com.  We do not accept articles submitted by physical mail. No calls, please.
  2. All articles should be in Word 98-10 format (Windows 98 and Windows 7 preferred)(.doc, docx files).
  3. Include a research methodology section in your work.
  4. Include the name, address, phone, affiliations, and email for ALL authors. This information should be included on the title page and in the cover letter.
  5. We PREFER Books to be mailed to us!

Pricing Information

  1. All cover letters should include a statement that the paper has not been published elsewhere and will not be sent to another journal or magazine unless it has been declined by PROVERBS LIFE MAGAZINE, LLC..
  2. End notes and reference must be stated.
  3. Authors should be prepared to assign copyright to PROVERBS LIFE MAGAZINE, LLC. upon acceptance.

What happens to my article after you receive it?

We understand that your ideas are important, and we attempt to respond to them in a timely fashion. Upon receipt of your article, PROVERBS LIFE MAGAZINE, LLC. will acknowledge receipt within one week. After that your article will be reviewed internally and then may be sent to peer review. We ask for your patience with our manuscript evaluation process, which can take more than 12 weeks.

If your article is approved, it will be assigned to an editor. Because most of our readers are business executives, we work with authors to ensure that research-based articles with complex technical ideas have the greatest possible influence on actual management practice. We work collaboratively, but we do edit and rewrite substantially in order to reach our primary audience.
